Kiera Bear: This is a soft peach-rose that's very similar to Julianna Bear. Milk Chocolate: A soft brown-beige, Milk Chocolate is very sheer. The formulation is also on the sheer side. Julianna Bear: This is a soft peachy pink nude. Peaches: This is a semi-sheer peach nude. I don't think this one is pigmented enough to be worn on its own so it probably works best mixed with another shade. However, these are nice and lightweight lipsticks, so you aren't dealing with any sticky or glossy textures. Formulation-wise, most of the shades are on the sheerer side so you will be doing lots of layering and building. Lip palettes aren't my cup of tea due to their inconvenient packaging so I am naturally put off by the idea of a 12-shade lip palette consisting of mostly neutral shades (with a couple of almost identical colors). If you are looking for a well-made and affordable nude palette, I would recommend checking out the New York Color Lovatics palette, which offers up a much more consistent formulation and an even better value. All the shimmers are pretty good but the mattes are mostly sheer and patchy.
Overall I think this is just an okay palette. Formulation-wise, the palette is a bit of a mixed-bag so see below for a breakdown of all 12 shades. With 12 eyeshadows weighing at 1.2 grams each, this is a neutral eyeshadow palette with a warm color scheme. The plastic packaging itself isn’t big and bulky either. You can easily blow $24 bucks on two or three lipsticks but this palette is a good value giving you 12 colors in one. I think that this is a fun palette to have. However, the darker colors will stain your lips slightly, especially the red colors. You can also blend different colors together to create your own custom shades.Īs with most lipsticks, these are not long wearing lip cremes and will need to be reapplied often. Some of the lighter shades have less color payoff but they can be built up. The majority of the colors are nicely pigmented, especially the darker you go.
I am a nude lippie lover so I definitely can appreciate that just about half of the ItsLipTime palette are various shades of nude. You can quickly warm the product up to a creamier texture if you just rub your clean finger across the surface a few times. That’s why I prefer using my finger for application.
